Who Is The Enemy Here?

Wednesday, January 29, 2003

Dictator: A ruler who is not effectively restricted by a
<br />constitution, laws, recognized opposition, etc.I learned a new word on TV last night: Hitlerism. Interestingly enough, I'd always thought Hitler was only one man but not so, according to the special vocabulary that the President of the United States uses:

"In each case, the ambitions of Hitlerism, militarism, and communism were defeated by the will of free peoples, by the strength of great alliances, and by the might of the United States of America," George W. Bush said in his State of the Union address last night.

Now I'm wondering if he's ever heard of words like Nazi or Fascist? Either would probably have fit in a little better with the "isms" he was referring to last night.

And speaking of fascism, how many times do these ass-kissers in the gallery at the White House have to stand up and applaud? I read somewhere that they did this 77 times - in one hour? I'm surprised they didn't give him the Nazi Salute. Even the idiotic Democrats stood up and applauded this moron, with a couple of exceptions - a very noticeable one being when he mentioned ending the practice of partial-birth abortion.

"We are building a more welcoming society - a culture that values every life." How can Bush state this when he's obviously willing to murder thousands of innocent children in foreign countries who are currently alive?

George Bush had a message for the "brave and oppressed people of Iraq: Your enemy is not surrounding your country - your enemy is ruling your country." I have my own message for the American people - could that statement not also apply to you?

Eve of Destruction

Thursday, January 23, 2003

The Eastern world, it is explodin',
Violence flarin', bullets loadin'.
You're old enough to kill, but not for votin',
You don't believe in war -- but what's that gun you're totin'?
An' even the Jordan river has bodies floatin'.
But you tell me, over and over and over again, my friend,
Ah, you don't believe we're on the eve of destruction.
Don't you understand what I'm tryin' to say,
An' can't you feel the fears I'm feelin' today?
If the button is pushed, there's no runnin' away,
There'll be no one to save, with the world in a grave.
Take a look around you, boy, it's bound to scare you, boy.
An' you tell me, over and over and over again, my friend,
Ah, you don't believe we're on the eve of destruction.

Yeah, my blood's so mad feels like coagulatin',
I'm sittin' here just contemplatin'.
I can't twist the truth, it knows no regulation,
Handful of senators don't pass legislation,
An' marches alone can't bring integration
When human respect is disintegratin',
This whole crazy world is just too frustratin'.
An' you tell me, over and over and over again, my friend,
Ah, you don't believe we're on the eve of destruction.

Think of all the hate there is in Red China,
Then take a look around to Selma, Alabama.
Ah, you may leave here for four days in space,
But when you return it's the same ol' place,
The poundin' of the drums, the pride an' disgrace.
You can bury your dead, but don't leave a trace.
Hate your next-door neighbor, but don't forget to say grace,
An' tell me, over and over and over again, my friend,
You don't believe we're on the eve of destruction,
No, no, you don't believe we're on the eve of destruction.

Well, fuck me over and call me Molly. As soon as I get the alternative board set up, EZ kicks back into life.

For now, anyway.

Oooh, Take The Money And Run

Oh joy, EZboard is down again. I've set up a temp board at Bravenet, because even our previous temp board is down. God hates us.

If he hates you too, come visit our forum:

Everybody Must Get Stoned

Friday, January 10, 2003

When some fucked up country finally drops "the bomb", be it North Korea, The United States, India, Pakistan or any other lunatic country that wants to end the world, at least we Canadians will be too stoned to worry about it.

Not only is decrimminalization mere months away, the marijuana laws in this country are going down. In two separate court cases this week, Ontario judges threw out charges against two men charged with possession of marijuana, saying the law was unconstitutional. Also, another court in Ontario ruled Thursday that medical marijuana laws are unconstitutional and gave Ottawa six months to change them. I can only hope that PMS will be one of the "conditions" in which pot can be prescribed.
